Anxiety, depression, grief… if you are human you have experienced at least one of these if not all of them at some point in your life. As a mental health clinician, I have had to the privilege to sit with clients for nearly a decade as they share their stories of sadness, worry, and fear. In my experience I have learned that symptoms we experience as a result of life issues can present as debilitating, draining us of energy and motivation to carry out daily activities and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Smith Behavioral Health and Wellness was created to provide holistic, natural treatment to assist clients who are experiencing symptoms that make them feel inactive and weary when experiencing difficult feelings and emotions. Natural holistic treatment may not always take the place of other treatment methods but may assist in enhancing the results of various treatments. At Smith Behavioral Health and Wellness, clients will work through symptoms in a traditional therapeutic setting in addition to having the option to integrate exercise/fitness and nutrition to work through immobilizing feelings and develop a lifestyle that embraces happiness and productivity. Because mental/behavioral health is not isolated and can affect us physically, spiritually, and emotionally, integrated care to address all aspects of who we are is necessary to be the best version of ourselves.
